We are a fast-growing, multi-brand e-commerce company distributing consumer products across the UK, EU, Australia, and other international markets. We’re seeking a highly organised and detail-driven Inventory Specialist with hands-on logistics and experience in compliance frameworks (e.g. UKCA, CE, RoHS, REACH, CPSR, WEEE, RCM). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is experienced in international inventory and shipment coordination, and can support light compliance tasks tied to regulated products and markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage inventory across multiple warehouses and fulfillment centres using software such as Veeqo/Linnworks.
- Analyse demand to forecast stock needs and avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate international shipments (primarily from China to the UK, Australia, Ireland, etc.), including container bookings, customs clearance, and final delivery logistics.
- Ensure imported inventory includes correct labelling and packaging per UK/EU regulations (e.g., UKCA, CE, RoHS, REACH, CPSR, WEEE, RCM).
- Liaise with global freight partners (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL) and domestic warehouse teams.
- Calculate landed costs using internal shipping cost estimators (e.g., cost per unit shipped via sea/air).
- Finalise order specs including packaging, labelling, and SKU structuring.
- Maintain organised stock records and generate daily/weekly/monthly reports.
- Coordinate with China-based agents and suppliers to ensure products carry appropriate documentation (e.g., DoC, RoHS, REACH, SCPN).
- Assist with maintaining product documentation and verifying batch-specific compliance for regulated items (e.g., cosmetics).
- Ensure product manuals and packaging designs reflect updated regulatory symbols and markings.
- Support compliance manager with data entry or follow-up related to certifications or audits.
Skills & Qualifications
- 2–4 years experience in ecommerce inventory, logistics, compliance or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (e.g., Veeqo) and spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for stock and shipping optimisation.
- Familiarity with international shipping procedures, customs requirements, and freight terminology.
- Understanding of basic product compliance requirements (UKCA, CE, RoHS, REACH, CPSR, WEEE, RCM, DoC ).
- Clear communicator with excellent English – able to coordinate with global suppliers, warehouse teams, and freight companies.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management and organisational skills.
- Bonus: Exposure to regulatory documentation or audits involving cosmetics, electronics, or consumer goods.
